Indian Motorcycle, founded in 1901, the legendary brand remains America’s first motorcycle. During the 1910s Indian became the largest manufacturer of motorcycles in the world. The Indian Chief was one of the most popular, made from 1922 to 1953. In 1940, all models were fitted with the large skirted fenders that became an Indian trademark. This 1947 Indian Chief has been fully restored. The engine and transmission were completely gone through. As you can tell from the pics. it is in pristine condition. This Indian only has 5 miles since being restored. The seat is new and the fringe on the Highway Floor Boards do add a nice touch. This is a sure head tuner and a great classic. The Indian is kick start and it is ready for the road or around town. This is a show bike and is a great moving piece of art.
