This VTX 1800R3 is in great condition.
Strong engine, good handling, always starts right up. Shifting is precise with a click into each gear. The clutch is just right. The clutch master and slave cylinders were rebuilt at 45,111.
I am getting ready to do the service for this season (oil, filter, final drive). I think the air filter and spark plugs are new.
It has aftermarket grips, a passenger backrest, and small luggage rack, and a tow package. I never towed anything with it.
I cleaned it up a little, but I have yet to fully detail it. I have two of these VTX 1800's, and I think they are an awesome motorcycle. They do not disappoint.!
This has power Commander 3 and AR-15 baffles. Honestly, I have never gotten used to the baffles, but I get a lot of positive comments. I am the third adult owner.
What does it need? Take the bags off. They are freaking handy, but they are showing their age. Also, I'd push the rear tire one more year, but I always recommend to others to get a new tire. So, that is definitely a negotiable item.
If there is one place for safety first, it is on a motorcycle.
Clear Kansas title in my name.
