This 2010 Ducati 1198S is a Corse Special Edition model that spent time with the seller’s cousin in New York and New Jersey, and ownership passed to the seller in July 2024. Powered by a 1,198cc Testastretta Evoluzione L-twin paired with a six-speed transmission, the motorcycle is finished in black, red, and white with exposed aluminum on the fuel tank. It also features Marelli electronic fuel injection, a two-into-one-into-two exhaust system, Termignoni carbon-fiber mufflers, a single-sided aluminum swingarm, adjustable Öhlins suspension with a replacement rear spring, and triple disc brakes with Brembo front calipers as well as a monoposto tail section, a clear windscreen, carbon-fiber fenders, an STM GP EVO dry slipper clutch with a Rizoma partial clutch cover, and a side stand. Work in 2024 included replacing the timing belts and tires as well as flushing the coolant, brake fluid, and clutch fluid. This 1198 Corse is offered at no reserve with a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.
The fully faired bodywork is finished in black, red, and white, and the upper portion of the 4.75-gallon aluminum fuel tank is exposed. Features include a clear windscreen, a red-finished trellis frame, a monoposto tail section, carbon-fiber fenders, and a side stand.
Marchesini forged-alloy wheels were mounted with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tires in July 2024. The adjustable suspension employs a 43mm Öhlins inverted fork with titanium nitride-coated stanchions in addition to aluminum single-sided swingarm that is damped by a monoshock with an aftermarket spring. Stopping power is provided by triple disc brakes, and radial-mount four-piston Brembo Monobloc calipers are fitted up front. The brake fluid was flushed in July 2024.
Clip-on handlebars are affixed beneath the upper triple clamp, which has a mounting point for the Öhlins piston-style steering damper. The Ducati Corse-branded digital dashboard features an arcing bar-style tachometer along with readouts for speed, ride mode, ambient temperature, coolant temperature, and time. The digital odometer indicates 1,900 miles, approximately 600 of which have been added under current ownership.
The engraving on the upper triple clamp denotes the motorcycle as 1198S Corse #076.
The 1,198cc Testastretta Evoluzione L-twin features four desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder along with an electric starter, Marelli electronic fuel injection, and a two-into-one-into-two exhaust system Termignoni carbon-fiber mufflers. The timing belts were replaced in July 2024, at which time the coolant was flushed.
Power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed transmission, an STM GP Evo dry slipper clutch with a Rizoma partial clutch cover, and a drive chain. The clutch fluid was flushed in July 2024.
